# BuildGood > BuildGood, the Ramadan Global Buildathon, is a free five-day online buildathon from 7 to 11 December 2026. Muslim builders around the world pick a real Ramadan need and turn it into a working app. Hosted by LaunchGood. Up to 1,000 ideas, online and at local hubs. ## Key facts - Name: BuildGood (also: the Ramadan Global Buildathon) - Dates: Monday 7 to Friday 11 December 2026 - Format: online, with optional local hubs. The kickoff and the showcase are live and virtual. - Cost: free to join - Who: anyone with a Ramadan idea. No coding experience needed; teams welcome. - Host: LaunchGood (https://www.launchgood.com) - Tools: builders use the AI and coding tools they like and say what they used when they submit ## How it works 1. Apply with an idea: the Ramadan need and who it helps. 2. A person reviews every application. Accepted builders get the kickoff details, perks to use during and after build week, exclusive presentations during build week, and a shot at the prizes. 3. 7 December: kickoff. Everyone starts from a blank project. 4. 7–10 December: build, online or at a local hub. 5. 10 December: submit a working app link, a demo video of three minutes or less, and a short note. 6. 11 December: finalists demo live to the global community; winners are announced. ## Partners Organizations back the builders in four ways. Each pledge is confirmed with the organizing team before anything is published. - Fiscal partners: cash for the prize pool. They can name a prize. - Perk partners: an offer for every accepted builder, listed in the BuildGood perks directory. - Space partners: a room where local builders meet, shown on the hubs map. - Media partners: an audience. Listed on the site and in the launch announcement.
